Proud History

1980

Industrial Hydraulics was established at Halford St Newstead Queensland

Industrial Hydraulics officially opened its doors on Halford Street, Newstead, establishing a dedicated workshop to service Brisbane’s growing industrial and transport sectors. From the very beginning, our focus was on providing rapid-turnaround hydraulic hose assemblies and reliable fluid power components.

1992

Paul started working for SMS Hydraulics

Paul Bennett began his hands-on career in the fluid power industry at SMS Hydraulics at just 17 years old. This formative period was spent learning the trade from the ground up, gaining practical workshop experience with hydraulic pumps and cylinders while building a deep familiarity with premium product ranges like Aeroquip.

1997

Paul joined Industrial Hydraulics

Bringing years of valuable field and workshop experience with him, Paul officially joined the family business at Industrial Hydraulics. This move strengthened our technical service capabilities, allowing us to expand our specialised fluid power solutions for local commercial clients.

1999

Industrial Hydraulics moved to the old Boot Factory in Maud St Newstead

To accommodate our rapidly expanding inventory and high-volume workshop demands, Industrial Hydraulics relocated to the historic old Boot Factory facility. This larger footprint allowed us to dramatically increase our stock of hydraulic adaptors, hoses, and valves for immediate over-the-counter trade supply.

1999

We became authorised distributors of Eaton Aeroquip after Eaton bought Aeroquip- Vickers

These four milestones are fantastic for your SEO tracking lights because they introduce major industry brand names (Eaton Aeroquip and Banlaw). When local businesses or maintenance managers search Google for specific brand distributors or repairers in Queensland, having these exact terms in your text boxes helps Google rank your site higher for those high-intent searches. Here is the tailored text content for each box, optimized for keywords, local search, and natural flow: Row 1: 1999 Title: We became authorised distributors of Eaton Aeroquip… Suggested Text Content: This official partnership solidified our position as a trusted supplier of premium fluid conveyance products. Becoming an authorised Eaton Aeroquip distributor allowed us to offer our customers direct access to world-class hydraulic hoses, adaptors, and fittings backed by full factory support and technical backup.

2003

Authorised Banlaw Distributors

We expanded our specialised industrial range by partnering with Banlaw, a global leader in high-performance fluid management. As an authorised distributor, we began supplying heavy-duty refuelling hardware, fast-fill nozzles, and fuel management components tailored for the mining, transport, and heavy machinery industries.

2009

Certified Banlaw Nozzle Repairers for Banlaw refuelling nozzle. This included servicing and repairs.

To provide complete aftermarket support, our workshop team completed intensive training to become certified Banlaw nozzle repairers. This qualification enabled us to offer local, factory-standard maintenance, testing, and rebuild services for high-speed refuelling equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and safety for our clients’ fleets.

2013

Paul Bennett became Director / Manager & Footy Colours Day Hall of Fame

Paul Bennett officially stepped into the role of Director and General Manager, steering the company’s strategic growth while keeping our family-first values intact. This year also marked a major milestone for our community spirit, as Industrial Hydraulics was incredibly proud to be one of the first organisations inducted into the Footy Colours Day Hall of Fame. Instead of a standard jersey-and-donation day, we transformed the fundraiser into a full-scale Family Fun Day, caught the attention of the Fight Cancer Foundation, and were recognised for bringing something truly unique and different to the cause.

2015

Industrial Hydraulics moved to Geebung

To better serve our expanding industrial and commercial client base, we relocated our workshop to Geebung in North Brisbane. This strategic move provided us with an upgraded workshop space, allowing us to increase our stock levels of adaptors and fluid power accessories while shortening turnaround times for walk-in trade accounts.

2018

Became a major sponsor of the Albany Creek Crushers Rugby League Club

We extended our commitment to local community sports by proud sign-on as a major sponsor for the Albany Creek Crushers. Supporting grassroots local footy allows us to give back to the Brisbane Northside families and businesses that have supported our growth over the decades.

2021

Industrial Hydraulics moved to a bigger location in Lawnton to accommodate their growth. Sportsperson sponsorships Eleanna Monaei and Khiana Monaei. 2 upcoming outstanding Rugby Leagues stars.

Continuing our steady growth, we moved into our current, significantly larger headquarters in Lawnton. This massive facility expands our workshop capabilities and counter service, positioning us perfectly to deliver fast-turnaround local sales, custom hose assemblies, and repairs across Brisbane and South East Queensland.
